The Dajjal Chronicles
A series of lectures about various aspects of ad-Dajjal, the false Messiah according to the most authentic sources available in Islam.
Anas Ibn Maalik (R) reported that Allah’s Messenger (S) said “The Signs are like beads next to one another on a string; when the string is cut, they follow one another.” [Al-Hakim, Sahih in Shaykh Albani’s Silsilah #1762].
Ibn Hajar Al-Asqalani said “What is apparent from the reports is that the emergence of the Dajjal will be the first of the Major Signs…” [Fath Al Bari;11:353].
Scholars of Islam have said that ad-Dajjal’s feats are truly miraculous in nature, hence his Fitnah or Tribulation. Which is why he must be avoided at all costs.
After the darkest part of the night, shines the light of dawn. Why are the Muslims so downtrodden and humiliated? Who will represent us? Who will guide and lead us back to the beautiful Religion that Islam is supposed to be… the Straight Path of God? Will God send us a saviour?
Shaykh Albani commented, “…the Prophet (S) gave glad tidings to the Muslims of [the coming of] a man from his household, and he described him with outstanding characteristics, the most important of them being the fact that he will judge by Islam and spread justice amongst Mankind. So in reality, he is one of the (Mujjadid’s) or Revivers which Allah sends at the head of every one hundred years, as is authentically reported from him… the emergence of the Mahdi does not mean relying totally on him without making preparations and without taking steps to establish Allah’s rule on Earth. Rather the opposite of that is correct. For indeed the Mahdi’s efforts will not be greater than those of our Prophet Muhammad (S) who spent 23 years working to establish the foundations of Islam and its State; so what can the Mahdi possibly do if he emerged today and found the Muslims split into Sects and Groups? And [found] their [bad] Scholars, except for a few of [the good ones among] them, to have been taken as heads by the people! He would not be able to establish the Nation State of Islam except after uniting their word and uniting their ranks, under one banner. And this, without doubt requires a long time which Allah Knows best as to just how long.
