Refutation Of Yasir Qadhi’s Claim That Ibn Taymiyyah And Abdul Wahab Differ In Regards To Shirk

Ibn Taymiyyah said: “If a person says: ‘I call upon the Shaykh so that he may be an intermediary for me, then such is in the same category as the du’a (invoking) of the Christians to Maryam, and the Rabbis and Monks; and the believer only pleads from Allah and fears him, and invokes him alone sincerely; and his Shaykh’s right upon him, is that he prays FOR him and makes du’a for him and asks (Allah) to have mercy upon him.
