He was from the nobles of the tribe of the Quraish. Before Omar embraced Islam the Prophet, (SAW) supplicated Allah saying: “O Allah! Strengthen Islam with Omar ibn Al-Khattab.” He was buried by the side of the Messenger Muhammad (SAW) & Abu Bakr As-Siddiq.
