Kitab at-Tabaqat al-Kabir’ by Abu Abdullah Muhammad ibn Sad

Abu Abdullah Muhammad ibn Sad was a scriber during the time of the Prophet PBUH. The Prophet PBUH would dictate to him a revelation to be written down, as he did with other scribes. This book is English translation of Tabaqat. It  is one of the most important and earliest surviving collections of biographical details of the early Muslims, spanning just over the first two centuries of Islam. The first two volumes of the Tabaqat contain narrations dealing with the life of Prophet Muhammad
